Personal Reflexion

It’s important to take an English class during collage for every student in the class because regardless of the major I chose, I must be able to communicate well in spoken and written words. After all, in the future, when I will try to obtain a job, the corporations will most likely base their decision on my ability to express ideas and opinions in a sophisticated and correct manner.

Therefore, increasing my knowledge and skills in English will increase my opportunities to success. Personally taking English class has made my writing more organized. While typing my summaries, assignments and essays, I was able to consider my thoughts, analyze them, and decide if they made sense or not and it helped me express my ideas more clearly and facilitate the reader's understanding.

My performance in class was mediocre in the beginning, but then as the semester progressed I became more focused. My writing in the beginning was written just to get out of the way, but I realized I couldn’t get away with this the rest of the semester. So I put more concentration in my work after the first few papers. I participated in class from the very beginning because I was usually interested in the subject. I enjoyed the fact that we brought up interesting subjects.

In the end I would like to thank my teacher because he invested the time in a useful productive way and he taught us the important things that we need to know in an easy simple way but interesting at the same time and I hope that all of my colleagues found this course as useful as I did.

The Ritz-Carlton

Introduction:

   The Ritz Carlton Hotel its one of the most popular hotel in the world and it’s owned by one of the best companies, Marriott International Company and this company has many hotels all around the world.  Marriott International Company started building Ritz Carlton Hotel at 2007 which contains 250 guest rooms, restaurants area, and a health club Distributed on nine floors.

Ritz Carlton Start:

    Bethesda and Maryland the name of the persons who wanted to open a hotel in Tokyo from many years ago but there is two things stop them to do that. The first reason is the high land prices and the other reason is they didn’t find the right place to build it. In 2007 when the flowers started to open and almost every land turns to green because of the grass they found the right place to build it. Swankiest hotel-and-apartments complex in the city this is was the place that they decided to build the hotel on it with the partner Mitsui Fudosan Company for building the skyscraper.  The first thing that Ricco DeBlank said, the general manager of the Ritz-Carlton's Tokyo hotel. Now, "Finally we have the right location, the right partner and the right timing to do that” (Ritz-Carlton – Wikipedia).

  

Line of business, significant events and growth:

   Choose a location of the hotel in the skyscraper this is was the first step to reach their goals after that they decided to build 250 guest rooms, restaurants area, and deluxe health club Distributed on nine floors. They tried hard to show people Ritz Carlton Hotel is different from other hotels in the opening day. Adopted the Ritz Carlton in the stages of growth and development on the basis of comparison with other companies to establish standards of its own and challenged it to defy it own standards. It also focused on improving the workforce because it is one of the most important things on the hotel. The management of Ritz Carlton Hotel Proved that employee participation to make the decision is helpful for the growth and development and there are many significant events in the hotel and one of these events called People vs. Stuff and it’s about how the employees can dial with different people with different culture, language and religion.

The strategy of the hotel and the goals:

   Every hotel has his own strategy but Ritz Carlton has a unique strategy because it focuses on customers' behavior. The managers also include the stuff ideas to their strategy because they believe that will make them get new ideas. They are trying to add new brands because hotel groups owned by foreign so they try hard to become the best hotel but that will not be easy because there is alt of competition like some of Japan's older hotels and they are trying to become the best to. All these reasons push the Marriott International Company to work harder and harder to develop. The Hotel chain Ritz-Carlton wants to be more hotel visit by tourists in Tokyo and the first choice for everyone.

Notable management issues:

   Ritz Carlton Hotel there was many notable management issues that face it. Finding the right place and high land prices because the regulations on building height restricted the development of skyscrapers and by thinking they solved this two problems by choosing the right and the best place to build it and some problems with the old system before they change it and now a day they change the whole style by putting the latest furniture and technology in it.

Conclusion:

   Ritz Carlton Hotel its one of the best hotels in the world because of the unique policy followed by, future outlook and the stuff that work in it.

Smart Boards

    Everyone knows the normal class boards that we were use it in the past but this days there is a new technology. It’s one of the most inelegant technologies that the human beings have made. Now a day it is almost used all around the world especially in the universities and it helps the students to understand the subject in a simple and excited way. The people named it The Smart Boards.

   The Smart Boards was first introduced to people in 1991. It was made by a company called smart technologies. The Smart Board comes with four pens in four different colors. It has to be connected to a projector to display what in the computer screen on the interactive white board after that it acts as a wide and large touch screen.

   Day after day, smart boards are made with many complicated and different metals because of that Smart Technologies Company developed the idea by making it able to handle these many different changes. Smart Technologies Company is the only company that made and developed Smart Boards in the past years. Almost every smart board registers only one touch but in June 2009 Smart Technologies introduced to people their first dual-touch and it accepts two simultaneous touches.

   “Technologies have been coming in and out of our culture, and today one of the most ground-breaking advancement is the SMART board. The interactive whiteboard has changed education for each and every learner that it has touched” (The Advantages of a Smart Board). ‘Teachers reported that the board was easy to use, kept the class together and focused, and made lessons clear and dynamic’. It comes with HD board and a high sensitive board that we can use it from a long distance.

   Smart boards is like the right hand for the teachers so we should not take and threw it away but try to developed it for the next generations. In order to benefit from them and they are also developed by them.

Melting ice in the North pole

It’s hard to find Hans Island on a map because of the international race for oil and many other things and it’s in the earths frozen north.

The ice cap is warming faster than the rest of the earth and that will affect the polar bears and other wildlife. Arctic is one of the most important resources of the world’s undiscovered oil and gas.

Hans Island will be more accessible because of the global warming. Akademik Fyodorov it’s the name of the first ship that reached the North Pole without the icebreaker help.

The global warming is also bringing an unexpected bonus to American Transportation Company. It will take almost 15 years for the ice to melt.

Russia, Denmark and Canada are seeking to claim waters all the way up to the North Pole. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has pledged to put military icebreakers in the frigid mater to assert their sovereignty and take action to protect their territorial integrity.

The Masdar Project

Near the Saudi Arabian boarder, Abu Dhabi decided to build a wind company that uses 7 per cent of its energy from renewable sources by 2020 and its probably will be the first of its kind in the region.

One of the most problems that they will face in the gulf is not a windy region so they will use a turbine to generate more power from the light breezes.

Mubadala Development is owned Masdar and this company is owned by Abu Dhabi government and they took the responsibility of achieving the target.

Dr Goebel said that they will be able to build 300mw farms near the Saudi Arabian border.

In the UAE there is no much wind in general so it’s challenging to develop in the GCC than solar power.

$200 million that’s what will coast to build the megawatt of wind power.

Because it’s the first project that will use wind it will cost very much.
